Sunday school began at 9:45 at Beulah Church of Christ Sunday morning. This was followed by our church service at 11. Welcome and announcements were given by our minister, Daniel West, followed by  a call to worship by our choir. The invocation was given by Daniel West, followed by a hymn of praise, “Blessed Assurance”. Our prayer hymn was “Sweet Hour of Prayer”, followed by prayers for all the sick members and friends. Some of those were Amy West and Trey West, Mildred Catlette, Merriett Rose, Robert Mills (the uncle of Amy West), William Enroughty, Gilbert Fisher, Darwell, Billy and Libba Daniels, Pam Joyner, Carolean Hyde, Elizabeth Stewart, who had surgery and is recovering, Jimmy Griffin, who was with us this Sunday but still needs our prayers. We also thanked God for all the blessings He has given us and our sick friends.

Spring Hope has lost one of its former commissioners.Former Commissioner Nancy Carroll Walker, 78, passed away on August 29, 2021.No cause of death has been presented by the family, Spring Hope Town Clerk Michele Collins said.Walker served as a commissioner on the town's board for eight years from 2011 to 2019.

I’m writing this letter to beg for help. If you really care about animals, we have got to stop these county shelters from using the gas chamber. Most states have turned away from that kind of torture and are humanely putting them to sleep. If you have ever experienced a vet putting an animal to sleep, then you know it’s as if the baby just fell asleep. When these counties use the gas chamber, these poor animals suffer greatly.

NASHVILLE - The town of Nashville is in the clear on the status of its FY 2023 audit, submitted late but now okayed by the Local Government Commission.Town Manager Randy Lansing received a confirmation June 11 that the audit had been received June 6, within 12 months of fiscal year end, and that "the unit has therefore successfully complied with the Notice of Noncompliance issued by the LGC."

Some Spring Hope residents are concerned Envirolink is not fulfilling maintenance duties in a timely manner.Jean Deak of Main Street said she has several bags of yard waste outside of her home which she moved four times. She said the bags killed the grass in her yard and left dead spots on the ground. Deak said the waste was outside of her home for a month.

The Royal Court was composed of two groups of students; the first group are students who raised the most money on the third through fifth grade hall and the second group are the ones who raised the most money on the kindergarten through second grade hall by selling raffle tickets. It was still based on the traditional first, second and third place winners but a male and female winner was chosen for first and second place.

SPRING HOPE - A new comprehensive land use plan may be in the works for the town of Spring Hope, with town planners saying the amount of growth, both planned and anticipated, calls for one."Honestly, we're experiencing a ton of growth in the ETJ (Extraterritorial jurisdiction)," said Andrew DeIonno, town manager, at the Jan. 16 planning board meeting. A Spring Hope warehouse serves as home to one of the largest hemp mills in the western hemisphere. Recently, Hemp, Inc. announced that after three and a half years and millions of dollars in investment, the processing facility is now operational and processing its first product. David Schmitt, COO of Hemp, Inc., said it's been a long process but he was excited to see the facility moving forward. "We're rocking and rolling now," Schmitt said.
