Helen Parker Barnes, age 77, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2015. Born in Nash County on February 17, 1938, she was the daughter of the late (R.S.) Rachel S. Parker and Eula Viverette Parker. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, V. Eugene Barnes.

She is survived by her daughter Vicki Barnes Raper and her husband, Steve Raper, of Nashville; her son, Anthony (Tony) Barnes and his wife, Sandy Carpenter Barnes, of Grimesland; three grandchildren; her brother Horace Parker and his wife, Mary Lynn Parker, of Rocky Mount.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Allen Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Nashville. Visitation with the family will be begin at 12:00 Noon prior to the service.
