Have you ever been lost? I mean really, really lost. Have you ever felt like you were in this big world all by yourself? Your world changed in a blink of an eye or should I say with a last breath. It's not a good feeling and if you feel this way now, please listen to what I have to say. It's been 6 years since my world changed never to be the same again. They were hard, miserable and painful years, but I survived and I am here to tell anyone that is feeling that way now, that there is hope and happiness for you too.

It was a glorious summer morning as Peachtree folks gathered for worship. Sanctuary flowers were given by Kathy and Aubrey Farmer in memory of her mother, Sally Knight, whose birthday is June 14. Special music was a beautiful arrangement of "Sweet Beulah Land" sung by Marta Whitehouse. This Sunday was the 11th Year Anniversary of the devastating fire which destroyed the church building. It is such a memorable event, that it is hard to realize that eleven years have passed. God has so richly blessed us and enabled us to worship in such a beautiful building.

School will be out soon and summer time fun will begin. People are planning vacations, but not me. I did my little going this past spring and I don't have any plans, don't want to make any plans, and that's exactly the way I plan to keep it. I don't mind day trips, but come night, I want to be on Ricks Farm. I am like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz "there's no place like home, there's no place like home" in Aventon. Sue Shearin and JoJo Ricks went visiting on Thursday afternoon late.

I've never really given a lot of thought to the U.S. penny.I used to get excited when I found a "wheat penny," and never spent a single one that came into my possession. They currently rest out of circulation in a cigar box on my dresser. And that is the case with most pennies in America and one of the reasons many believe the country should stop producing the coin.

Fighting sin is spiritual warfare, and warfare requires a battle plan. If left to our own devices, we would have little success against our unseen enemy.Thankfully, God's word supplies wisdom to assist us in eluding the evil one's snares. We'll begin by briefly considering how not to engage in the battle, followed by practical tactics to flee sin and follow God.Pretending sin isn't there won't help you fight it, as with Ben. Ben was a jokester, but at times his jesting became inappropriate.
