Why did Jesus come? Why did the Word become flesh and dwell among us?
Many would say, "to die on the cross to save us from our sins". Amen!

Those of us who took a foreign language in high school or college have because in every language of the world, there seems to be a number of words and phrases that take on a different meaning than the words mean by themselves. For example, the word "cool" doesn't always refer to temperature.

Nashville's Town Council has approved the concept of the Nashville Junction project but said more work needs to be done on the details, particularly with the numbers.
Council members unanimously voted on Tuesday night to accept the proposal presented by developer Michael Hurt but added that just the concept of the project was being accepted.

Franklin County sheriff's deputies arrested a Louisburg man they allege sold the drugs that led to a Nashville woman's death.
Tagreed Ertley died on Jan. 26 from a fatal overdose of fentanyl, heroin and gabapentin toxicity, authorities said.
On Monday, members of the Franklin County Sheriff's Office's Special Operations Group arrested Aaron Lloyd, alleging he sold Ertley the drugs to the 38-year-old woman.

Nashville Fire Department staff and volunteers unfold the American Flag which was flown over Washington Street for the funeral procession of Nash County Sheriff's Office Captain Carlos Ricks last Wednesday afternoon. Ricks passed away unexpectedly on April 8th.

Nash County Public Schools are working on a graduation plan for the Class of 2021.
Chad Thompson, Executive Director of Secondary Education and CTE for the school system, presented a plan to the Board of Education last Thursday.
Thompson said the plan follows the governor's latest recommendation or guidance but will allow students to have a graduation ceremonies this year.
