ROCKY MOUNT - Curtis Christman Rose, age 90, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021. Born in Nash County on May 15, 1930, he was the son of the late George S. Rose and Parry Lee Kennedy Rose. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Loretta Rose, Nan Strickland, and Molly Vick; and his brothers, Henry Rose, Garland Rose, Cliff Rose, Ralph Rose, and Merritt Rose.

Curtis is survived by his wife of 66 years, Peggy Skinner Rose; his sons, Dale Rose (Ginger) of Castalia, Scott Rose (Nancy) of Rocky Mount, and Chris Rose (Cindy) of Aventon; five grandchildren,; four great-grandchildren; his brother-in-law, J.T. Vick; his sisters-in-law, Bell Rose and Myrtle Rose; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, April 26, 2021 from 7 - 8:30 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
