Shop early, shop local - and join us for season fun! (relevance: 66.7%, date: Oct 22, 2025)
October rolled in quickly and is about to roll out even faster!
I was looking over the calendar attempting to prioritize all that has to be done between now and Thanksgiving and quite frankly almost experienced a panic attack when realizing just how fast the last couple of months have raced by - which means the next two months will be just as fast.
Since we seem to be in fast-forward motion, now is a good to time to start making your Christmas shopping list.

Chamber welcomes Nashville Nutrition (relevance: 66.7%, date: Oct 22, 2025)
NASHVILLE - Nashville's newest "watering hole" is tucked inside the Nashville Junction, where a long drink bar awaits with a variety of healthy juice and shake options. 'Nashville Nutrition' was the third business to open its doors inside the historic structure, but its owner-operator is looking to build more than a customer base; Brittney Price, owner, with employee Sarah Champion, both young moms, are looking to build a community.
The grand opening was held June 14th, with a formal ribbon-cutting with the Nashville Chamber held Oct.17.

Intersections: God and Life (relevance: 33.3%, date: Oct 22, 2025)
This past weekend, an uncertain number of people participated in numerous "No Kings" rallies. These rallies were also described as protests against President Donald Trump and his administration. Regardless of how you feel about our current President, I believe we need to examine these protests on a deeper level. The "Lordship of Christ" is a foundational Christian doctrine that acknowledges Jesus not merely as a historical figure or wise teacher, but as the supreme, sovereign authority over all creation.

State Fair not quite the same, but still fun (relevance: 33.3%, date: Oct 22, 2025)
I've always been a sucker for the state fair.
We didn't go regularly when I was growing up, so it was a treat when we did make it.
I was not a thrill rider or much of a game player, due to an aversion to heights and shallow pockets. Plus, I remember that time Andy had to straighten out the crook in the BB gun booth that tried to snooker Opie.

Nationally known author to visit Nashville (relevance: 33.3%, date: Oct 22, 2025)
Imagine former President Jimmy Carter teaching your Sunday School lesson each week in a small community church in Plains, Georgia. That's exactly what former President Carter did for nearly 40 years after returning home form the White House.
Andrew Greer, nationally known author, recording artist and documentary filmmaker, was led to Plains, GA, the well-known hometown of former Carter. Andrew literally became a part of the community as he directed a PBS documentary, "Plainspoken," a film spotlighting Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter's work to bridge racial divisions in their hometown of Plains, Georgia.
