STANHOPE -- The 2024-25 athletic year marked quite the successful campaign for the Southern Nash High School Firebirds, highlighted by four Big East Conference championships and two teams reaching the fourth round of the Class 3-A State Playoffs.
Three of the school's four conference titles came in the fall, with the Southern Nash Volleyball, Boys Soccer and Girls Golf squads each registering a league championship.

Shamica Dawes, a proud Bronco, is already an active member of the Edgecombe-Nash Alumni chapter and FSU National Alumni Association (NAA). She is competing for the title of Ms. Fayetteville State University.
