Master Gardener Plant Sale is April 25th (relevance: 100%, date: Apr 15, 2026)
The Master Gardener plant sale is Saturday, April 25 from 9 a.m. - noon at the Nash County Ag Center, 1006 Eastern Ave., Nashville. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Nash County Arboretum.
The event will offer plants from local nurseries and Master Gardener grown. Plants include perennials, roses, shrubs, trees, native plants, vegetable plants and herbs.

Spring has arrived and Mother's Day is just a few weeks away which means the Blooming Festival is just around the corner.
Folks working on the Nashville Blooming Festival are in full swing these last few weeks leading up to the 28th event. It seems no matter how far in advance things are planned, the last couple of weeks are always complete chaos when weaving together all of the many threads involved. As you can imagine, an event as large as the festival takes a lot of team work and volunteers. The Nashville Chamber of Commerce has certainly been blessed to have so many folks who have continued to volunteer to plan the event since 1997.

SPRING HOPE- After more than a year of work, Spring Hope now has an official town brochure, in digital form, with plans to put it on the town website.
Presented by Brandi Jobe, Vice-Chair for the town's Downtown Development Board, at the April 6th commissioners' meeting, the 8-page document has a cover featuring an aerial shot of the town, what appears to be a town seal with a train and train tresle, and the phrase "tucked between Raleigh and Raleigh and Rocky Mount, Spring Hope offers the perfect day trip or weekend getaway or anyone looking to slow down, shop local and experience the warmth of a tight-knit community with big ambitions."

SANDY CROSS- The economic power of Agriculture, and of Nash County's Sweetpotato industry in particular, were main focal points of the annual Nash County Farm Bureau Legislative Breakfast.
Held at the Leggett Farm headquarters on Sandy Cross Road at 8 a.m. March 26th, the breakfast event attracted a host of federal, state and county lawmakers in addition to local farmers and ag supporters.

BAILEY - Top Nash County lawmakers got their first gander at what could end up in the new fiscal year budget Tuesday, as figures came out hot and heavy for everything from a new EMS station to utility increases to suggested new positions.
Meeting at the Mount Pleasant Community Building in Bailey for an approximately six hour meeting, county commissioners got hefty binders to take for study prior to the actual budget presentation planned in May.
