1301.My Sister’s House could use a helping hand
Have you ever feared being murdered by the hands of someone you know? Has anyone ever threatened your life? Have you ever been hit or beaten by another person? Or sexually abused by another person? Maybe not. But there are many people who live their entire life terrified of another human being for one or more of these reasons.

1302.What's wrong with bringing back the past?
If you've found yourself in the area of the old Rocky Mount fairgrounds recently, and can recall some of the fun times it offered to families for many, many years -- I'm sure it saddens you as much as it does me to see the field of weeds wisping around the old site. You can still see the entrance way but that's about it.The fair ceased several years back for many reasons. Wouldn't it be incredible to see something return to offer some of that same joy we knew as kids?

The committee was to report back to the General Assembly with recommendations on how the laws could be amended. The House had several hearings on the bill, finally approving the bill, but amended the 12-month moratorium to nine months.
