When the clubs met a few weeks ago at the Bunn Dome, the host Wildcats played one of their best games of the season before Southern Nash established some control in the second half en route to earning a nine-point triumph.

BUNN-- A rebuilding Bunn club met a powerhouse Northern Nash squad last Tuesday in Big East Conference action -- with a predictable result.
The Fighting Knights are one of the top Class 3-A squads in the state, and have an undefeated record to back up that lofty claim.
On the other side of the court, Bunn is in full rebuilding mode with a young lineup that hopes for future success.

BHS claimed that triumph by 14 points on the road just before Christmas, but the rematch was destined to be much tougher last Tuesday evening courtesy of a determined Northern Nash group.

MOMEYER -- With no clear path forward as far as rezoning, a local charity has purchased a shuttered grocery store.
A Touch of the Father's Love Ministry and Food Bank bought Bass Brothers IGA at 5193 Momeyer Way for $585,000, according to deed transfer records.
"We own it. I don't want to talk about it much beyond that right now," said ATOFL board member Roger Warren.

The area's newly elected legislator is asking federal authorities not to require a license for a conversion kit that can turn a pistol into a rifle.
State Rep. Allen Chesser, R-Nash, sent a letter to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives last week stating that a federal firearms license for the attachments goes against the Second Amendment.

The holidays may be over but Nash County 4-H still has a lot to celebrate.
Several 4-H youth and leaders were recognized on Monday night at the annual awards banquet, themed "Holiday Fun and Awards." The banquet is held each year to recognize 4-H members, volunteers and leaders for their accomplishments for the year prior.
