Anne Flye Baker, age 88, died May 19, 2023. She was born on April 28, 1935 in Edgecombe County, daughter of William Woodson Flye Sr. and Florence Corbett Flye. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years Cecil E. Baker Jr., her sister, Eleanor Flye Stallings, and brothers William Woodson Flye Jr., Braxton Flye, and Bruce Flye.

She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Vicki V Baker of WV; her son Chip E Baker and his wife Carolyn Pridgen Baker of Sandy Cross; sisters Kay Flye Gurganus of Rocky Mount and Estelle Flye Rose of Roswell, Ga; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service for the family will be held on May 23, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to visit the home of Chip and Carolyn Baker (7769 S Hwy 58, Sandy Cross) after 4 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Anne's name to Your Choice Resource Center, 400 Sunset Avenue, Rocky Mount.
