JUNE 20
Nothing But Nash Farm-to-Table Dinner will be hosted by the Nashville Farmers Market and Nash County Farmers Market on Saturday, June 20th at 725 Barnes St., Nashville. The event begins with a "Meet the Farmers" social hour at 5 p.m. featuring yard games and live music from Meredith Davis Johnson. Dinner begins at 6 p.m. and will be prepared by local chef Malik Williams using locally sourced ingredients provided by farmers market vendors. Guests will have a choice of steak, chicken, or pork. $75 per person All proceeds from the event directly support the Nash County Farmers Market and the Nashville Farmers Market.

JUNE 22
The Nash County Arts Council will host a woodburning on suncatcher class with Regina Pena Monday, June 22, from 6-8:30 p.m. This class will include wood-burning a live edge wood slice with a pre-drawn design. After burning the image, students will complete their piece by filling in their outlines with colored pencils and attaching crystal like drop embellishments and beading to the piece before taking home to place near a window and admire the kaleidoscope of colors. Costs are $38 General or $32 Nash Arts members before May 21st. Late registration will increase by $5, closing June 8. Supplies included in cost. JULY 5
Come Celebrate 250 Years of American Independence on Sunday, July 5, from 1-5 p.m. at the Spring Hope Elementary School playground located behind the school at 401 McLean Street, Spring Hope. There will be waterslides for all ages, games, music by DJ Speed of Sound, and a parade for the kids or anyone who wishes to decorate their bike or dress up in patriotic fashion to walk in the parade. All activities are free to participants. The Spring Hope Fire Department will be selling hot dogs and drinks. Bring your own towels and lawn chairs.

JULY 9
The Nash County Arts Council will host a turtle gourd hand-sculpting class with Regina Pena Thursday, July 9, from 6-8:30p.m. Students will learn how to sculpt with air dry clay and apply it to a natural gourd. Once sculpted, students will paint it before attaching their piece to a wooden stand, adorned natural elements to mimic coral. Costs are $40 General or $35 Nash Arts members before June 1st.
