State investigates death at Coastal Plain Hospital

A spokesman with Nash Health Care Systems has confirmed that the state visited Coastal Plain Hospital last week to investigate a patient death that occurred on July 23 and that two workers were let go.

Jeff Hedgepeth, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Nash Health Care Systems, said the Department of Health and Human Services finished up its investigation on Thursday afternoon, July 30.
