UPDATE: Stallings trial, day three - defense focuses on alcohol abuse

Testimony continued Wednesday in the murder trial against James Wesley Stallings, who is accused of killing former girlfriend Freda Medlin and leaving her body in a ditch off Erkin Smith Road. Investigator David Brake, of the Nash County Sheriff’s Office, was called to the stand to testify on Stallings’ statements on September 1, 2005.
