Living in the country can put you in the panic mode when ice is predicted. By “unfortunate” past experiences we have learned that life without water and power is not fun. It’s not easy, it’s down right hard on your body, but we only have to endure for a few days. Imagine living this way everyday. Imagine living like this and not knowing when it’s going to end. Imagine living like this with no means to change it.

Brothers, who lit the candle.  Pastor Whitehouse chose as his sermon topic, “There is No Doubt”.  The scriptural background was Luke 1: 34.  God entered into the lives of ordinary people on the first Christmas. He is still ready to enter lives today and give His peace.  The special music was by Karen Edwards, who sang “Mary, Did You Know?”  She was accompanied by Jane May.  For the children’s sermon Beverly Wilson talked to the children about the meaning of “peace”. If you’re like me, you’re tired of the election cycle, tired of politics and most of all, tired of political ads.By the time you arrived at this page, you’ve heard the results (endlessly) of Tuesday night’s election results. Unfortunately, the best candidate was not on the ballot Tuesday. This candidate could make a real difference in Nashville, Raleigh and Washington, D.C. This candidate could help cut (there is no cure) corruption, money and ineffective leadership.
