4008.Going to see a legend – Earl Scruggs
I still wasn’t sure it was real until I heard the familiar G-chord kick off that rolled into the oh-so-familiar opening line of “Salty Dog Blues.” It was at that point the nearly seven-hour-round trip, the assault on my health known as dinner and the money extorted from me by TicketMaster became no more taxing than a walk through the house. After all, how expensive IS a $40 ticket — with nearly $15 in add on “service” charges — when it purchases a memory that will last the rest of your life? A bargain, I’d say.

4066.Holy and Whole: Patterns for Life Together
In a world where to be offended is the norm, the Bible still speaks with a bold, uncanny ability to offend us, and yet comfort us. It's like this Spirit-inspired, sharper than a double-edged sword Word isn't afraid to tell us we are wrong in how we live. Yet it is concerned with correcting us so that we may be conformed to Jesus.

4070.Don't take someone else's salvation for granted
Everyone may looked saved in your church, but the Bible says it ain't so. That's what the Parable of the Wheat and the Tares is all about. In fact, Jesus had no sooner told the parable when his disciples asked him to explain what He meant. "The one who sowed the good seed," He told them, "is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the sons of the kingdom.

On Friday, I had the opportunity to attend the North Carolina State Fair with my husband and my dad. It was a little cold and rainy but nonetheless, a good time was had by all. "So, because you are lukewarm - neither hot nor cold - I am about to spit you out of my mouth." Revelation 3:16That's a pretty powerful statement, especially considering the fact that Jesus said it.
