God's grace in times of trouble
God's grace in times of trouble

We received an e-mail from a reader in Colorado who is experiencing health problems.
"I am having problems right now that I have been having for the past two months. It seems like I get over one problem and then I come down with another problem that is twice as worse as the first one. I do not know which way to turn for help and comfort, but I am getting tired of fighting for good health. I feel that I am being tested and seeing that my faith is not as strong as I thought it was. Can you give me some advice and comfort?"

The project was approved by Nash County commissioners in a split vote of 5-2 on Jan. 6.

Nash planning board ties vote for Middlesex rezoning

NASHVILLE - A planned public hearing Feb. 3rd on a rezoning request for a new 90-home subdivision on Old Lewis School Board, Middlesex, was postponed Monday, with the project future uncertain. The application by Todd Glover asked for conditional rezoning from R-40 to RA-30-CZ.
Adam Tyson, Nash County Planning Director, told county commissioners that it was his understanding that the project developer had asked commissioners to delay the public hearing and their consideration, commenting that "the applicant has had a shorter than typical period of time to process the comments and concerns that the members of the public made at the (Jan. 21) planning board meeting."

Appearing Jan. 31 in Nash County Superior Court, Ricks entered an Alford plea, essentially entering a guilty plea while maintaining innocence similar to a plea of "no contest," which allows a defendant to bypass a trial and go straight to sentencing.
