During the worship service, Pastor Chris Fowler dedicated the boxes and prayed for the children who will be receiving them. Peachtree Baptist Church is now collecting donations for its N.C. State Missions fundraiser.
Peachtree Baptist Church's annual collard sale began Monday and continues through November 20. Collards are cleaned, cooked and seasoned and are $8 per quart. They can be picked up from 3-6 p.m. on Nov. 11, 13, 16, 18 and 20 at the church, 3523 N.C. 581 N., Spring Hope.

Boy Scouts from Troop 76 helped Nashville's Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department plant 14 maple trees recently near the Nash County Courthouse and at Nashville's Town Hall. The tree plantings helps the town keep its designation as a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation.

Nash UNC Health Care has added temperature checks to their health screening process to help reduce the risk of exposure and spread of COVID-19 at Nash UNC. All employees, providers, patients, visitors, and vendors will now complete a temperature check using touchless temperature scanning upon entering any Nash UNC facility in addition to the organization's established screening process.

RALEIGH -- North Carolina State piled up the points during last Saturday's home football victory against Florida State -- and area stars Zonovan 'Bam' Knight and Ricky Person Jr. played a huge role in that success.
The Wolfpack running back duo of Person and Knight combined for 162 total yards while helping NC State secure a 38-22 decision over the Seminoles in Atlantic Coast Conference gridiron action at Carter-Finley Stadium.
