Bardin receives award for outstanding achievement
NASH COUNTY— Rosalie Bardin, principal at Southern Nash High School, was recently honored by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) for Outstanding Achievement.
Ms. Bardin was praised for her service and commitment to the ideals of the NCHSAA that stand for commitment to fairness and for providing a wholesome athletic environment for students. During the awards ceremony, attended by more than 200 members of NCHSAA, Ms. Bardin was presented a plaque to honor her outstanding service to the North Carolina High School Athletic Association and its student-athletes. The Association commended Ms. Bardin for her efforts and dedication to high school athletics, students and fans. Presenters noted, “We are most appreciative for the many lives Ms. Bardin has touched throughout her career and we are proud to honor her on this very special occasion.”
Before becoming principal at Southern Nash High School, Ms. Bardin served as assistant principal at Nash Central Junior High, Northern Nash High School and Nash Central Middle School and as principal at Nash Central Middle School. Prior to her service in school administration, Ms. Bardin taught health, biology, aerobics and history at Southern Nash High School as well as coaching. In 1995, the Southern Nash High School girls’ softball team, coached by Ms. Bardin, won the state AAA championship.
Ms. Bardin was also honored by the NRMPS Board of Education at a recent board meeting.
