MYRTLE THARRINGTON LEGGETT
Myrtle Tharrington Leggett, 88, died Monday, February 8, 2010 at Golden Living Center in Tarboro.  She was born February 9, 1921 in Edgecombe County, daughter of the late William Fenner and Anne Tharrington.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Noah C. Leggett Sr.; three brothers, Fenner Martin Tharrington, Edward Earl Tharrington and Raymond Alvin Tharrington; and daughter-in-law, Linda Leggett.

Survivors include her children, Noah “Neal” C. Leggett Jr. of Rocky Mount, Beverly Leggett Bulluck  and husband Billy of Battleboro, Larry Edward Leggett  and wife Vickie of Nashville, and Teri Leggett Stanley and husband Drew of Nashville; brother, Harold Lee Tharrington and wife Shirley of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 7 to 8:30 pm on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home and at other times in her home in Battleboro.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 11, 2010 in the funeral home chapel with Parker Phillips officiating.  Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Battleboro United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 178, Battleboro NC 27809.
