MARY WINSTEAD PRIDGEN
Mary Winstead Pridgen, 92, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2010. She was born May 7, 1917 in Nash County, NC. She was the daughter of the late George and Ella Eason Winstead. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Joe K. Pridgen and three sisters.

She is survived by three daughters, Shelby Owens of Fountain, Janice Jenkins and husband William of Elm City, and Joel Williford and husband Ronnie of Rocky Mount; one son, Wayne Pridgen and wife Louise of Sharpsburg; two sisters, Lois Cockrell and Jane Joyner; two brothers, Ollie and Oscar Winstead; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 1 pm Wednesday, February 3, 2010 in the Chapel of Memories at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm in the Chapel.
