Jackie Barbour Smith, 60, passed away Monday, February 1, 2010. She was born October 16, 1949 in Johnston County, daughter of the late Lawrence Barbour and Myrtle King High of Rocky Mount. Besides her father, she was also preceded in death by her nephew, Christopher Jason Devers, and grandmother, Myrtle King.
Survivors include her daughter, Angela Armstrong and fiancé Larry Adkins of Sharpsburg; one grandson; mother, Myrtle King Barbour High and Jerry Fenn of Rocky Mount; sister, Brenda Barbour Smith and husband Marvin of Nashville; a devoted aunt, Eva Mae King of Rocky Mount; step-son, Johnny Armstrong and wife Tonya of Nashville; and step-daughter, Angela Hall and husband Chris of Rocky Mount; and one niece and nephew.
Visitation with the family will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, February 03, 2010 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
