Samuel Preston Turner, 86, passed July 3, 2026. He was born September 17, 1939 to the late Preston and Eula Turner. He is also preceded in death by several sisters.

Samuel is survived by his wife of 66 years, Janice Turner; sons Samuel Turner Jr., Benji Tuner and wife Tammy; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; sister Bertha Patterson.

A visitation will be held at 12 pm on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. The service will follow in the chapel at 1 pm with Rev. Rick Downing officiating. The burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
