WILLIAM "BILL" TAYLOR WILLIAMS

ROCKY MOUNT - William "Bill" Taylor Williams, age 94, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Born in Nash County on April 13, 1931, he was the son of the late Johnnie Buck Williams and Lorena Wright Wiliams and his mother who passed when he was three years old, Myrtie Louelle May Williams. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Jean Barnes Williams; and his sisters, Dorothy Williams Rowland (Harold), Frances Williams Harper (Harold), and Mary Williams Hunter; and his brother-in-law, Bill Robinson.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Vickie Williams Rivenbark of Wilmington; his son, William Taylor Williams, Jr. and wife, Susan, of Clayton; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his brothers, J.B. Williams (Sherry) and Joe Williams (Paula); his sisters, Hulda Williams Little (Donald), Clara Williams Ocken (Dave), and Nina Williams Robinson; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held April 24, 2026 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
