WALTER RUFUS WILLIAMS

Walter Rufus Williams, of Nash County, passed away on May 2, 2026. Born on July 4, 1945, he was the son of the late Rufus Williams and Dorothy Hendricks Williams.

He is survived by his two daughters, Ginger Wilkins and Vanessa Edwards (Tommy); one brother, Roger Williams; and three sisters, Linda Williams, Debbie Williams, and Brenda Denton.

Along with his parents, Walter was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Williams, and one sister, Doris Jones.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on May 9, 2026, at Philadelphia Baptist Church, with Pastor Jesonya Hargrove officiating.
