NASHVILLE - Funeral services for Michael Anthony Battle, Sr., age 74, who died on Friday, April 24, 2026, will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 12 noon from the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Nashville with Rev. Keisha Spivey officiating.
He is survived by two daughters, Rev. Keisha Spivey (Eric) of Rocky Mount, Jamica Battle of Hillsborough; two sons, Michael Anthony Battle, Jr. (Laisha) of Rocky Mount and Christopher Watson of Nashville; one sister, Maxine Thornton (James) of Atlanta, GA; three brothers, Oscar Battle (Claudette) of Durham, Harold Battle of Rocky Mount and Mitchel Battle of Kingsport, TN; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
There will be a viewing Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Nashville. |
