LOIS LANGLEY DIXON

Lois Langley Dixon passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026. She was born on November 25, 1936, the youngest of six children born to Willie Lindsey Langley and Emma Baker Langley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Dixon in 1999, and by her son, Doyle Dixon in 2023. She was also predeceased by each of her five siblings and their spouses, Marvin Ambro Langley (Frances), Eunice Langley Batchelor (W.T.), Doris Langley Lindsey (Hubert), Thurman Willie Langley (Mae), and Carolyn Langley Harrell (Bill).

She is survived by her daughter, Emmy Dixon Hurst and husband Chuck, of Wake Forest; sister-in-law, Madeline Dixon Harris of Virginia; many nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity which helps those who are less fortunate than are we.

A service to commemorate her life will be held at Rocky Mount Memorial Park in the Chapel of Memories on Wednesday, March 25 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tim Hogan and Gary Pettet officiating.
