ROCKY MOUNT - Craig "Kent" Leggette, 73, passed away on March 4, 2026. Born July 15, 1952, he was the son of Irene Leggette and the late L. Nelson Leggette.

Kent is survived by his mother, Irene Leggette; his children Timmy Land (Claire), Mark Land (Pam), John Lindsey (Jennifer), Darlene Williams (Larry), and Margaret Sharpe (Scott); his brother, Lathan Leggette; his sister, Terri Winchell; 15 grandchildren; 22 great‑grandchildren; three great‑great‑grandchildren; one niece; one great‑niece.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his wife Peggy and one son, Gary Land.

A graveside service was held March 8, 2026 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
