NASHVILLE - Carolyn Jane Stancil, age 90, passed away January 21, 2026. She was born on January 5, 1936 in Nash County to Daucy and Deanie Barnes Stancil. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Jeanette Dove.

She is survived by her nieces, Lea Ann Nichols (Tom) of Red Oak and Jo Ellen Rogers (Tony) of Williamston; nephew, Billy Dove (Cathy) of Rocky Mount; one great-niece and two great-nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park, Rocky Mount with Reverend Michael Wells officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
