CERETHA MAE PRIDGEN "PEGGY" CONWAY

BATTLEBORO - Ceretha Mae Pridgen "Peggy" Conway, age 93, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025. Born in Nash County on January 29, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John Hardy Pridgen and Ada Forsyth Pridgen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Marvin Conway, Sr.; her sons, Paul "Marvin" Conway, Jr. and Durwood "Woody" Conway; her brother, George Pridgen; her sister, Fannie Zuidema (Charlie); her brother-in-law, Bobby Reaves; and her sister-in-law, Willistine "Tennie" Pridgen.

She is survived by four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; her brother, Earl Pridgen; her sister, Edith Reaves; her niece, nephews, great-nephews, great nieces and a great-great niece.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Battleboro Cemetery. Visitation with the family will follow the service at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Peggy's memory to Avalon Baptist Church, 3225 Old Battleboro Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27801.
