ALFRED JACKSON (A.J.) LANCASTER JR.

CASTALIA - Alfred Jackson (A.J.) Lancaster Jr, age 80, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025.

A.J. was born in Nash County to Alfred Jackson (Jack) Lancaster Sr and Bernice Boone Lancaster on August 25, 1945. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Carolyn Mizell Lancaster, and his sister, Barbara Fisher.

He is survived by his longtime friend, and sweetheart, Sandra Joyner; his son, Alfred Jackson (Al) Lancaster III of Castalia; daughter, Jackie Tomberlin of Lucama; and son, Robert Joseph (Bob) Lancaster of Castalia; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; his sister, Carolyn L. Edwards of Rocky Mountand sister, Janice L. Watson (Sam) of Sneads Ferry.

Friends and family will be received at the home of Jackie Tomberlin on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 3-5 p.m . Contact Cornerstone Funeral Home for location.
