William Pleasant Evans, 85, passed away June 18, 2025. He was born October 12, 1939 in Johnston County to the late Daniel and Polly Pendergraph Evans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Wayne and Jason Evans; brothers, Lester, David, and Charlie Evans; sister, Betty Batten.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joan Evans; sons, Walter Lee Evans and Terry Evans; Eddie Morgan (Amy) and Jeffery Morgan (Barbara); brother, James Evans; sisters, Marie Marlo, Mary Boyett, and Brenda Evans; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Visitation with family and friends will be Monday, June 23, 2025 from 10:00-10:45 a.m .at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel at 11 a.m. with Pastor John Woodard officiating. Burial will be private.
