Jerry Jerome Bass, 79, passed away June 10, 2025. He was born November 21, 1945 to the late Jermiah and Emma Bass. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Cathie Meadows Bass; grandsons Tyler Anthony Gunnels and Joseph Oliver Gunnels; sisters, Dora Lee Wilbanks, Marian Jean Craig and Betty Lou Meeks.

Jerry is survived by his daughter Penny Gunnels and husband Harvey; one grandchild; sister Donna Sue Bass-Phillips; sister-in-law Joyce Doster and husband Donnie; brother-in-law Garland Meadows and wife Alice; nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Dogwood Cemetery Maysville

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or a charity of one's choice. The family will be donating to the Dylan Quick Foundation.
