JAMES DOUGLAS "JIM" PITTMAN

James Douglas "Jim" Pittman, 55, passed away October 6, 2023. He was born on April 6, 1968, the son of Sheila Powell Martin and Thomas Lynn Pittman.

Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Janie Mac Dunn Pittman, of the home; daughters Lindy Pittman of Boston, MA and Emory Pittman and son Jack Pittman of the home; mother, Sheila Powell Martin and husband Jim of Rocky Mount; father Tommy Pittman and wife Mona of Chesapeake, VA; sister Jan Powell Robillard and husband Andrew of Rocky Mount; mother-in-law Pattie Dunn of Rocky Mount; sister-in-law Genie Dunn Andracchio and husband Vince of Rocky Mount; two nieces; three nephews and a cousin.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Mary Edith and Doug Powell, uncle John Powell, cousin David Powell, and father-in-law Lindy Dunn.

A service was held October 9, 2023 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
