ROCKY MOUNT - Michael Lamont "Mike" Wallace, age 75, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023. Born in Nash County on May 4, 1948, he was the son of the late William Earl Wallace and Winifred Aleene Pridgen Wallace. He was also preceded in death by his infant son, Michael Todd Wallace.

Mike is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sandra Godwin Wallace; his daughters, Dana Michele Wallace Edwards and Jennifer Lynn Wallace Gardner (Chris); five grandchildren; his brother, Joseph Earl "Joe" Wallace (Debbie); his "adopted" son, Dan Drapeau; and several nephews and nieces.

A funeral service was held October 9, 2023 at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Rocky Mount with Rev. Dr. CJ. Cauble officiating. Burial followed the service at Mill Branch Cemetery.
