ALICE FAYE JOYNER CARTER

Alice Faye Joyner Carter, 83, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023. She was born July 13, 1940 in Nash County to the late Bennie and Estelle Joyner.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Bruce Carter; sisters, Eunice Frazier, Lois Jones, Jane Matthews, and Joyce Puckett; brothers, J.B. Joyner, Buddy Joyner, and Bob Joyner.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Knapp (Travis); brothers, Phil, Harry (Lori), and Bennie Joyner, Jr. (Kelle); sisters, Ethel "Doodle" Daniels, Joan Daniels, Helen Hayes (Terry), and Diane Briggs (Wood);three grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation with family and friends will be Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 4-6 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, October 9, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Toby Easley officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
