AVENTON - Funeral services for Ruby Lee Silver Alston, age 85, who died on Saturday, March 18, 2023, will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 3 p.m. from the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg with Rev. Thomas Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas Alston, Jr. of the home; and two sisters, Nancy Pulley (Russell) of Nashville and Lusella Hargrove (Otis) of Elm City.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, March 24, from 6-7 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
