LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Carey Alton Thorne, age 78, who died on Monday, November 7, 2022, will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 12 p.m. from the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg. Burial will follow in the Mary Helen Jones Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Velma Coley Thorne of the home; one daughter, Joann Yancey (Oliver) of Louisburg; three brothers, Martin Thorne (Mattie) of Louisburg, Clarence Merle Thorne and Larry Thorne, both of Castalia; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday morning from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
