DOUGLAS ALLEN DAY "DOUG"

Douglas Allen Day, "Doug"passed away on August 13 at the age of 71. He was born on January 15, 1951, in New Bern, was a long-time resident of Nashville (NC), and currently lived in Concord (NC). Doug was married to the love of his life, Diane. They have two children, Jon and Jeff, a grandson Caison, and a granddaughter Charlotte, who were the light of Doug's life. Doug and Diane also have a beloved fur-baby, Hershey. After a 40-year career in marketing and merchandising, Doug retired to spend more time golfing and focus on his health while spending more time with the grandkids. Doug enjoyed sports and was a devoted Tarheel fan.

Doug is survived by his spouse Diane, his children Jon (Angela) and Jeff (Dawn), and grandchildren Charlotte and Caison, his sister Pat (Mike), his nephews Mike and Eddie, and his nieces Pam and Tammy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nacy and Louise, and his sister, Linda.

There will be a celebration of life service held near his home. The family is asking for thoughts and prayers at this time.
