James "Jim" McLindy Cary, 89, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022. He was born November 1, 1932 in Wilson County to the late James and Marie Ayers Cary. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Lois Cary, and daughter Cindy Whitehurst; two sisters and three brothers.

He is survived by his son Steve Cary and wife Sandra; son-in-law Alvin Whitehurst; brother Bobby Cary and wife Faye; five grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, August 12, 2022 from 10 -10:45 a.m. at Sunset Avenue Baptist Church fellowship hall. A funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. . Burial will be at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
