NASHVILLE - Thurman Hubert Hackney, age 96, passed away May 19, 2022. Born in Nash County on May 10, 1926, he was the son of the late Mack Allen Hackney and Mary Bunn Hackney. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary "Louise" Langston Hackney; his sister, Christine Hackney Ward; and his brothers, Louis Gray Hackney, Jake Hackney, John Allen Hackney, William R. "Bully" Hackney, and Jimmy Lee Hackney.
Thurman is survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held May 22, 2022 at Red Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.
