ALGIA WEBSTER "PETE" STRICKLAND

NASHVILLE - Algia Webster "Pete" Strickland, 83, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022. Pete was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Ida Pearl Strickland; daughter, Pat Melvin; parents, Albert and Alma F. Strickland; brothers, Jimmy and Larry Dew; brothers-in-laws Donald and Billy Braxton; and sisters-in-laws Loretta and Peggy Braxton.

He is survived by his son, Mike Strickland and wife Mary; son-in-law Mark Melvin and wife Clarice; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, and two more great-grandchildren on the way; sisters-in-law, Aljah Ray and Sara Dew, Carolyn Braxton; brother-in-law Dillard Braxton; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation with family and friends will be Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 10:30-11:45 a.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Corinth Baptist Church, 2883 N. NC Hwy 58, Nashville, NC 27856.
