NASHVILLE - Algia Webster "Pete" Strickland, 83, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022. Pete was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Ida Pearl Strickland; daughter, Pat Melvin; parents, Albert and Alma F. Strickland; brothers, Jimmy and Larry Dew; brothers-in-laws Donald and Billy Braxton; and sisters-in-laws Loretta and Peggy Braxton.

He is survived by his son, Mike Strickland and wife Mary; son-in-law Mark Melvin and wife Clarice; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, and two more great-grandchildren on the way; sisters-in-law, Aljah Ray and Sara Dew, Carolyn Braxton; brother-in-law Dillard Braxton; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation with family and friends will be Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 10:30-11:45 a.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
