ROCKY MOUNT - Peggy Skinner Rose, age 87, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Born in Nash County on March 26, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Sam "Bull" Skinner and Dorothy Ward Skinner. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Curtis Christman Rose; her brother J. L. Skinner (Pat); and her sister, Jackie Skinner Medley (Billy).

Peggy is survived by her three sons, Dale Rose (Ginger) of Castalia, Scott Rose (Nancy) of Rocky Mount, and Chris Rose (Cindy) of Aventon; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 4 - 6 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home of Scott and Nancy.
