ROCKY MOUNT - Maylon "Wayne" White, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Born in Nash County on March 30, 1943, he was the son of the late Glyndon "Glen" Earl White and Nellie Mary Cobb White. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Glenda Sue White Walston.

Wayne is survived by his daughter, Amelia White Kirkland and her husband, Patrick, of Carthage; 2grandchildren; his brother, Ray White; his brother-in-law, Mike Walston; and his nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum. The family will be available to receive friends and relatives immediately following the service in the Mausoleum.
