NASHVILLE - Elbert Glenn Connie, age 70, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022. He was born in Nash County on February 12, 1951 to Leslie and Lucille Griffin Connie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Rackley Connie; sisters, Jean Radford, Dorothy Melton, Edna "Pete" Nelms, Margorie "Margie" Bryant, and Elizabeth "Libby" Smith; and brothers, Milton, Donald, and Bobbie Connie.
He is survived by his son, Glenn Connie (Sheri) of Nashville; daughter, Christine Manning of Bonne Terre, Missouri; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; his grandchildren's mother, Amy Connie; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 2 p.m. at The Church of God, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. |
