Zollie Preston Tharrington, 76, passed away October 5, 2021. He was born January 14, 1945 in Nash County to the late L.G. Tharrington and Josephine Turner Tharrington.

Zollie was preceded in death by his first wife, Marcelene Tharrington and a son, Robert E. Duncan.

He is survived by his wife of four years, Rivers C. Tharrington; sons Timmy Hale, Owen Hale, Jr. (Connie); daughter, Cindy Pendergrass (Monie); four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers Larry Tharrington, James Tharrington (Debbie), Ronnie Tharrington (Sheila), Dale Tharrington (Cecilia); and sister, Carolyn Narron (Kent).
