BATTLEBORO - Walter Edward "Clyde" Parrish, age 82, passed away August 20, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Edward Parrish and Lonnie and Ruth Ellis Pollard; sister, Addie Ruth Joyner; son, Shawn Wiggins; and grandsons, Christopher Parrish, Josh Parrish, and Brandon Parrish.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Charlotte Pope Parrish; children, Brian and wife, Rachel Parrish of Rocky Mount, John and wife, Tina Parrish of Ohio, James and wife, Karen Parrish of Nashville, Joe and wife, Shelly Parrish of Ayden, Dale and wife, Renee Wiggins of Spokane, WA, and Leo and wife, Suzi Wiggins of Clancy, Montana; his siblings, Dettie Sue Proctor and Lonnie Pollard, Jr., both of Nashville, Virginia and husband, Tommy Page of Sharpsburg, and Wayne Parrish of Rocky Mount; eighteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, family friends, and other extended relatives.

A service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
