SYLVIA LANGLEY "SOOKIE" WILLIAMS

ROCKY MOUNT - Sylvia Langley "Sookie" Williams, age 79, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021. Born in Nash County on October 7, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Romey "Roscoe" Langley and Stella Louise Keene Langley.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Williams (Frankie) of Rocky Mount; her daughter, Kristie Williams (Dave Smith) of Rocky Mount; fourgrandchildren; her brothers, Romey Louis Langley (Starr) and Stanley Beecher Langley (Sylvia); her sisters, Janelle Langley Ezzell (Ken) of Rocky Mount and Bonita Langley Pelt (Curtis) of Rocky Mount; an aunt and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, July 19, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made in Sookie's memory to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 West Farris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
