Dennis Eugene Sherrod, 79, passed away May 29, 2021. He was born July 23, 1941 in Nash County to the late Dennis Randolph Sherrod and Reba Murray Sherrod. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Collie.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 61 years, Faye Greene Sherrod; daughters, Deborah Brantley (Bill) and Bridget Sherrod; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren,; sisters, Joyce Green (Billy) and JoAnn Lamm (Barry); brother-in-law, George Collie.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. The visitation will begin prior to the service at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Free Union Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Other viewing times include 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the funeral home.
